British Water: Creating a More Sustainable Water Sector Conference
19th March 2026
Join partners from the MNbS Programme at this British Water Conference for a session on Mainstreaming Nature-Based Solutions Across the Sector
The UK water sector continues to evolve at pace, responding to mounting environmental pressures, increasing regulatory expectations, and growing public demand for resilient, nature-positive solutions. The 2026 British Water conference brings together leaders from across industry, policy, academia, and innovation to explore the next phase of sustainable water management and to accelerate the transition to a greener, more resilient future.
This year’s conference focuses on four key areas:
• Advancing Catchment-Based and Nature-Led Approaches – Exploring how natural systems and catchment partnerships can help tackle flooding, pollution, and water quality challenges.
• Mainstreaming Nature-Based Solutions Across the Sector – Understanding what it takes to scale nature-based solutions from pilots to widespread implementation and embed them into core infrastructure planning for AMP8 and beyond.
• Scaling Blue-Green Infrastructure – Showcasing practical examples of blue-green solutions delivering multiple benefits, including flood resilience, biodiversity improvements and enhanced community spaces.
• Harnessing Technology and Innovation – Highlighting emerging tools and technologies such as resource recovery, low-carbon systems and advanced monitoring that are enabling more sustainable water management.
